Castle Library serves the entire educational program at Seabury Hall by providing a rich variety of informational resources, as well as instruction in their use. The library has joined the LibGuides academic research community, which includes colleges and universities around the world.
The library maintains a collection of books, periodicals, newspapers, and curriculum-aligned DVDs. Students are able to use computers, both PC and Macs, for high-speed Internet access, word processing, and creation of multimedia projects.
The School Librarian assists students and faculty with their research and reading needs. This is accomplished by providing formal information literacy instruction across the curriculum planned with teachers, giving book talks, displaying new and interesting books, and guiding individuals through the information problem-solving and fiction selection processes.
Library hours are posted at the beginning of the school year. Generally, the library is open 30 minutes before school begins and stays open until the late afternoon.
